Day 1 Monopoli | 31mi 20% rolling

Stroll the unique Unesco World heritage town of Alberobello with your local guide, to discover the old town rione Monti and Aia piccola districts, characterized by their distinctive Trully houses. Cycle the verdant Itria Valley dotted with orchards and vineyards and reach Monopoli where your hotel is located. Day 2 Coversano & Polignano a Mare | 28 mi 20% rolling

Continue exploring on two wheels heading to the town of Conversano spinning along medieval meandering alleyways leading to the old town of Norba with its Norman Castle, the San Benedetto monastery and the Archaeological museum. Continue cycling along the Gravina Monsignore, and karst dolines, to reach the charming Polignano a Mare perched on a lime stone cliff on the Adriatic coast, stroll the old town and enjoy lunch overlooking the azzurre sea before biking bak to Monopoli. Day 3 Ostuni | 31 mi. / 50km 10% gently hillly

Set off on ancient routes as you pedal along the ancient Traian way, built by the emperor Trajan as an extension of the Via Appia to connect Benevento to Brundisi by a shorter route. Pass the “Montalbano Dolmen” and olive trees more than 2000 years old, all the earth of the Itria Valley to reach Ostuni, perched on three hills, at 218 meters above sea level, nick named the “White town” thanks to the characteristic whitewashed houses of its historic center, a tradition still kept on. Check in to your luxury Sommità hotel, set right next to the beautiful fifteenth century Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral with its façade sporting a 24-rays rose window of rare beauty, rest your legs and enjoy dinner at one of the many suggested nearby restaurants. Day 4 Gallipoli - 37 mi flat

Continue your bike trip spinning to the Sant Isidoro harbour and continue all the way to Gallipoli, seemingly a mirage on the Ionian coast. Its bastions and towers, preserve the charm of the past. The ancient walls originally defending the town from pirates, today protect it from rough seas and offering a beautiful walk around the island. Explore the historic centre and narrow alleys, from where you can catch an occasional glimpse of the sea, stop off for some food tasting at the lively fish market, held in the moat of the imposing castle or sun bath at the Puritate beach. Day 5 from Santa Maria di Leuca to Otranto 31 mi rolling

Hop on your bike for a ride along the wildest stretch of the Adriatic coast from Santa Maria di Leuca, the tip of the heel all the way to your next hotel located on the outskirts of Otranto in the small town of Minervino. Enjoy lunch at one of the many hamlets, take a boat trip to explore the coastal caves from the sea and refresh your legs into crystal clear water as you pedal across Santa Cesarea terme and Castro Marina. Day 6 Otranto loop 31 mi 30% rolling

Continue exploring the countryside surrounding your hotel with a loop ride across the sleepy villages of Giurdignano and Cocumula to reach the Adriatic sea for more coastal rides, all the way to Otranto the most eastern town of Italy. Visit its Cathedral and amazing floor mosaic, delight your sense with a rewarding lunch at our favorite sea front restaurant and cycle back to your hotel. Day 7 Lecce 37 mi Flat
Pass the Alimini lakes and head to the Torre dell’Orso harbour. ride along the Adriatic coast and across the fortified village of Acaia with its imposing Castel. Enjoy lunch at local farmhouse set in typical Salentine landscape and head to your hotel in Lecce. In the evening immerse yourself in the history and enjoy a food and wine guided stroll through Lecce old town a friendly yet informative walk between local delights and baroque extravaganza. Lecce is the triumph of baroque representing the most dramatic point of contact between faith and art. It reaches its highest level in the architectural eccentricity of its renowned Santa Croce Basilica, which alone is worthy of a trip to Salento from the farthest places in the world.
